Fire crews were sent to a report of a fire alarm sounding and smoke in a commercial property. On arrival there was no sign of fire, but crews could smell smoke and started to investigate the building.
Crews discovered a small fire in an air conditioning unit on the roof of the building and the smell of smoke was spreading through the building via the air conditioning ducting. The fire was already out but crews used the following equipment
- 3 Thermal imaging cameras
- 2 Gas monitors
There was 5 per cent fire and smoke damage to the air conditioning unit and the cause was accidental.
